Nekrath - The Private Trial (Official Music Video)

“The Private Trial” is about the courtroom we build inside our own heads, where doubt becomes evidence, mistakes become identity, and the verdict is often written before the truth gets a chance to speak. As the opening track of the album, it begins with that internal conflict: judging yourself, building a case against yourself, and finally questioning who gave that voice the right to decide the sentence. Blackened gothic metal, crushing distorted guitars, aggressive female vocals, pounding drums, deep bass, and a dark cinematic atmosphere built around psychological pressure, self-judgment, and breaking the cycle of self-punishment. Lyrics: State your name. I already know it. Every morning, same courtroom. Same charge with different clothes. I cross-examine every pause as if hesitation proves intent. I collect mistakes like exhibits and hide whatever contradicts them. No jury. No defense. Just a voice that never rests. THE PRIVATE TRIAL! WHERE EVERY DOUBT BECOMES A FACT! I PLAY THE JUDGE! I PLAY THE WITNESS! THEN WONDER WHY I CAN’T FIGHT BACK! I BUILD THE CASE! I PASS THE SENTENCE! BEFORE THE TRUTH CAN EVEN SPEAK! THE PRIVATE TRIAL! AND I NEVER LET ME LEAVE! A missed chance becomes character. One bad night becomes a name. I call patterns from exceptions, then punish myself for the frame. If someone else brought this evidence, I’d call the case too weak. But inside my own head, suspicion gets to speak. No balance. No scale. Only the parts that make me fail. THE PRIVATE TRIAL! WHERE EVERY DOUBT BECOMES A FACT! I PLAY THE JUDGE! I PLAY THE WITNESS! THEN WONDER WHY I CAN’T FIGHT BACK! I BUILD THE CASE! I PASS THE SENTENCE! BEFORE THE TRUTH CAN EVEN SPEAK! A fair court asks, “What else could this mean?” Mine only asks, “How guilty can this be?” That isn’t truth. That’s a verdict looking for evidence. THE PRIVATE TRIAL! I WON’T CALL FEAR A FACT! I WON’T LET ONE OLD VERSION TESTIFY FOR ALL OF ME! THE RECORD STAYS! THE SENTENCE DOESN’T! I KEEP THE TRUTH! I DROP THE NEED TO PUNISH ME! Court adjourned. For tonight.
