Долгий путь к свободе: Свобода

Step into the gripping true story of the WWII "Long March"—a harrowing journey of survival, courage, and the indomitable human spirit against impossible odds. In this powerful historical documentary, we trace the footsteps of Allied prisoners of war forced from Eastern European camps in the brutal winter of 1944-45. As the Eastern and Western fronts closed in on Nazi Germany, roughly 200,000 POWs endured forced marches of up to 1,000 miles—facing starvation, bone-chilling cold, exhaustion, and the ever-present threat of death at the hands of both enemy fire and their captors. The video weaves eyewitness accounts, rare wartime footage, and modern-day reenactments as RAF cadets retrace the original route of the "Long March," confronting the physical and psychological tolls that tested prisoners to their limits. Discover the largely untold tragedy and resilience behind the evacuation of Stalag Luft III and other POW camps, often remembered only for events like the Great Escape. Hear moving testimonies about the daily fight to survive—battling hunger, disease, lice, and frostbite—while finding hope, camaraderie, and the will to reach liberation. This film also reflects on the legacy of these marches, how they were remembered postwar, and why their lessons of suffering, endurance, and the price of freedom remain as relevant as ever. #WorldWarII #LongMarch #POWStories #HistoryDocumentary #StalagLuftIII #GreatEscape #SurvivalStory #RAF #WarHistory #Liberation
