Colombian ID card scanning | On-device OCR for KYC

For KYC teams, the challenge is not only extracting ID data accurately, but doing it without adding unnecessary data transfers and third-party dependencies to the verification flow. In this demo, OCR Studio scans a Colombian ID card directly on the user’s device and returns the required fields as structured data locally. The document image and extracted data remain on-device and are not sent to external servers for processing. This reflects OCR Studio’s Zero-Trust approach: sensitive identity data is processed at the point of presentation, reducing external exposure by design rather than relying only on downstream privacy controls.
