Ukrainian Pinecone Jam!

4. February 2023. Ukraine. Zakarpattia Oblast (Закарпатська область). Solotvyno (Ukrainian: Солотвино; Romanian: Slatina). Popped into Ukraine today to pick up 9 jars of pinecone varenye (варення) I ordered from Lviv. It's a few minutes of walking from our border home in Sighetu Marmației, Romania. Fun fact: Solotvyno is the town that produced Ján Ludvík Hyman Binyamin Hoch AKA Robert Maxwell, father of Ghislaine Maxwell of Jeffrey Epstein fame.
