Gamelan at Bates (с канала "Santo W")

This introduction to gamelan does not come from the Kraton in Yogyakarta, nor does it come from kota Bandung. It comes from the small town of Lewiston in Maine. Bates College in Maine is home to two gamelan orchestras. One is a bronze gamelan set from West Java and the other is an iron set from Central Java. We'll get a sampling of some of the instruments in the gamelan orchestra as well as a short glimpse into a rehearsal session.
